RPE19-196 is an early maturing, robust, right type, right size bull that we expect to have significant prepotency due to the line breeding in his pedigree. He is a RPE16-05 (LAR05-350 son) son out of a LAR05-350 daughter. Thus line bred to LAR05-350, with an inbreeding coefficient of 18%. Line breeding is a gamble and sometimes you get a runt but we took a chance with RPE19-196 mother and I feel in the case of RPE19-196 it paid off, he is a broad thick set bull that will breed broad thick set offspring, true to type cattle consistently, even with taller lankier cows. If you are looking to move to shorter on leg, broader, stockier cattle with better veld adaption and lower maintenance, RPE19-196 will take you a lot closer to that in one generation. He is also the type of bull that will thrive in an ultra high intensity grazing system, he just doesn't get thin.
