Zinabos Bonsmara traces its roots back to 1967, when the late Esias Scheepers laid the foundation for what has become one of the oldest and most respected Bonsmara herds in South Africa. Today the herd is still run on the same principles: functional, veld-driven cattle that perform under real farming conditions.

Our breeding philosophy focuses on fertility, adaptability, maternal ability, structural correctness and longevity. Zinabos selects cattle that thrive on sourveld, ensuring that every animal offered to commercial farmers has been proven where it matters most — on the veld.

We also place strong emphasis on meat quality, particularly fat deposition and especially marbling, and Zinabos has become a leader in this aspect — producing cattle that not only grow well, but deliver superior carcass quality and eating experience.
