1. Introduce yourself In 2015, Margi Harvey acquired the farm with a special purpose—to establish the Shashi Tuli stud herd as a tribute to her late father-in-law, Len Harvey, who originally founded and bred the Tuli herd in Zimbabwe.
Supporting Margi in this endeavor are her daughter and son-in-law, Joanne and Russell Kruger, who owns the Tsavo Tuli herd on the same farm. Together, they are determined to carry forward the legacy of Len Harvey.
With the invaluable assistance of John and Brenda Williams, Darryl Harvey ( Margi’s son ), and their management team, the stud provides buyers with an exceptional opportunity to select superior animals for crossbreeding purposes.
Their main focus has been on breeding supreme cattle that excel in handling tough conditions and various climates. The animals are specifically bred and raised in the coastal belt, known for its cold winters, hot and humid summers, and high parasite load.
Thriving in the challenging environment, these animals have become well-adapted to combat virulent diseases like Heartwater, Red Water, and Gall-Sickness.
The stud places great emphasis on raising cattle that can thrive under natural conditions without requiring excessive pampering or artificial support.
One remarkable feature of the Tuli cattle is their smooth skin, making them an exceptional choice for both Stud and Commercial Farmers.
In all their efforts, the team ensures that they consistently provide a well-rounded package of top-quality cattle for various agricultural needs.
